In 1985 Doug helped to establish one of the 1st orientation programs for the, Central Bergen County Board of Realtors.  The program was replicated by many of the Boards of Realtors throughout the region.  As the educational director for the Board,Doug was responsible for an array of programs which served to train many of the Agents that now work throughout the region. Doug eventually moved up through the chairs to become the 1st Vice President of the Central Board, which is now part of the Real Source Association of Realtors.

In his civic capacity, Doug has many positive achievements that has benefit ted the communities that he serves.      In 2005 the FBI Newark Field Office asked him to participate in a new program that would result in the Establishment of the FBI Newark Citizens Academy.  In 2007 Doug was selected to be its 1st President.  The FBI Newark Citizens Academy has been replicated in all 56 field offices of the FBI. In 2009, FBI Headquarters, more specifically the FBI Directors Office, asked Doug to go to Omaha to lay the ground work for a new citizens academy.   By all standards, the FBI Omaha Citizens Academy became an outstanding success.  Ultimately Doug, as the Vice President for membership, successfully completed the FBI Citizens Academy Regionalization program.   For all his efforts, Doug was asked to become the President of The FBI National Citizens Academy.  Doug declined the offer so that he could better serve the people of his home state of New Jersey.

Some of Doug’s accomplishments are noted below:
