It is bordered by Seaside Park, Bayville, Pinewald, Manitou Park, and Pelican Island on Barnegat Bay. Berkeley Township is easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway via exits 77 and 80. Route 9 and Route 35 run right through the eastern-middle section of the township.The main section of the township is Bayville, originally known as Potter's Creek.
